Purpose of the role

The global standard of Industrial automation infrastructure at Mondelez manufacturing sites requires high level of automation based on PLC systems allowing autonomous control of production processes and detailed reporting about process parameters and equipment performance.

Plant Automation Engineer is primary responsible to manage, actively support and manage the developement and extension projects on PLC systems and CCN network according global standars to ensure smooth daily operation and strongly support growth at Figaro plant. Scope is related to support more than 300 PLC systems interconnected to CCN network installed and operational in two production halls.

How you will contribute

  • Support local production and maintenance activities and operation users.

  • Provide 8x5 end user support (standard business hours).

  • Provide non-standard business hours support in case of business emergency issues.

  • Proactively manage and lead resolution of technical problems.

M&R and Continuous performance improvements responsibilities:

  • All local PLC automation infrastructure and hardware. Specify a design, deploy, test and run all these parts.

  • Primary site contact for all regionally/globally managed services and OEM/service suppliers in area of automation and robotics system.

  • Manage local applications and MDLZ regional/global applications used in plant or any other systems in area process control (PLC), process reporting (Rapid, COMES) and process analysis (Historian).

  • Support performance improvements activities by process analysis, measurements and reporting using PLC infrastructure.

  • Performs regular security checks and audits.

Engineering responsibilities:

  • Manage design, implementation and vertical start-up of industrial automation infrastructure and hardware including PLC systems, CCN network, robotic systems and other local systems in engineering area.

  • Management of engineering application backend service infrastructure (mainly for MES systems/Rapid).

  • Key and primary contact of any PLC and CCN related request.

  • Understand and implement PLC and CCN technology according global standards.

Collaboration:

  • Initiate and keep communication with plant stakeholders and MDLZ regional/global teams.

  • Own communication with all automation and PLC engineering suppliers and partners in areas like bidding, work, installation or after sales support

  • Assign work to external companies and vendors.

  • Responsible for continuous improvement of HW and SW portfolio of automation, PLC, robotics and industrial vision systems.

Projects management:

  • Participate on local engineering & IT projects in defined area of responsibility.

  • Strategies & Policies/Processes.

  • Understand and support plant deliverables in its complete scope.

  • Define and execute local strategic plan for IT and engineering services. Align the plan with strategic.

What you will bring

  • Education: technical high school or technical university degree.

  • Experience: 3 years at PLC engineering.

  • Intermediate level of English language.

  • Very good and detailed knowledge of PLC systems and industrial network (CCN) technology related to HW / SW and very good knowledge of fundamental operational systems.
