Profile Summary

The Sr. Director Business Analytics is a leadership position. It heads the critical business intelligence, automation, product development and data science functions. The Sr. Director will be responsible for creating and managing the vision of the function and create the roadmap to deliver business value across the business. She/he will lead the charge in transforming data into actionable insights that drive data driven decision-making across the company and develop / manage products that predict and analyze business performance and leverage advanced analytics and AI to come up with potential solutions. This leader will partner with other commercial leaders from Marketing, Sales, Category Management, and E-commerce to understand their goals and develop solutions for them through automation, forecasting and predictive analytics. This pivotal role aims to elevate our forecasting accuracy, streamline reporting, innovate product development, and capitalize on data science initiatives to deliver tangible business value.

Key responsibilities:

Build a Strategic Forecasting Capability

  • Innovate and manage sophisticated forecasting models to support strategic decision-making across categories and brands.

  • Foster partnerships with key stakeholders to enhance consumption forecasting accuracy using advanced statistical methods.

  • Drive forecasting excellence through the adoption of cutting-edge techniques, including probabilistic modeling and simulation.

Build Automation Products that help drive business

  • Design, develop, and maintain state-of-the-art BI dashboards that empower stakeholders with real-time, actionable insights.

  • Oversee the automation of reporting workflows to ensure efficient and accurate dissemination of business intelligence.

  • Oversee development of products that drive business value like competitive analysis, business drivers, early warning systems

  • Lead executive reviews by looking at data holistically and delivering compelling data narratives and strategic recommendations.

  • Propensity Modeling: Predict granular pockets of growth (e.g., geographies, demographic/psychographic groups) and prioritize based on segment size, propensity to purchase our brands, and ability to reach audiences

Product Development and Innovation

  • Lead the creation of predictive analytics products that redefine market intelligence and competitive strategy.

  • Champion the development and testing of new product forecasting tools and analytical models to anticipate market trends.

  • Pilot cutting-edge projects, from concept to MVP, that showcase real-time analytics and business impact.

  • Lead Learning Agendas in line with business requirements. These involve test & Learns, Pilots, A/B testing, etc.

Advanced Analytics and Data Science

  • Leverage machine learning, AI, and other advanced analytical techniques to transform data into a strategic asset.

  • Conduct pioneering research in social analytics, customer behavior modeling, and market analysis to uncover growth opportunities. Use both structured and unstructured data.

  • Collaborate with the Insights and Analytics team to continuously advance our analytical prowess and business acumen.

  • Introduce new tools in AI and GenAI, applied to busiess cases.

What extra ingredients you will bring:

  • 15+ years of experience, and a proven track record in business analytics, predictive forecasting and data-driven product development management. Demonstrated experience in building and scaling data analytics capabilities within a CPG company.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in data modeling, analysis, and visualization tools. Expertise in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), data visualization, SQL, Python/R, and machine learning frameworks.

  • Strong leadership abilities with the ability to influence and inspire teams across the organization.

  • Proven experience in driving change and building consensus among stakeholders.

  • Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into data-driven solutions.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for leveraging data to drive innovation and business growth.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Comfortable evangelizing the value of data analytics and fostering a data-driven culture.
