Working as part of a cross-functional team you lead the RDQ activities required to complete new product development and maintain portfolios and/or productivity projects keeping in mind the goal to deliver the desired consumer experience.

How you will contribute

You will work independently to plan, lead and coordinate technical projects in line with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements You will effectively communicate status and risks and plan, lead and coordinate pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements. In addition, you will plan, lead and coordinate development activities (e.g. product shelf-life testing, designing for quality, consumer test preparation. etc.). To provide direction for product development, you will use digital simulation models to obtain, understand and interpret consumer insights and commercial information. In this role, you will create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications and be responsible for stakeholder management and influencing decisions based on conclusions made from analysis and interpretation of results.

More about this role

This position will need to focus on regional platform of cake & pastry, including innovation, rennovation, quality improvement projects to deliver technical solutions to support business. The individual should be capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, applying technical expertise to solve complex problems, develop technical roadmaps, and deliver various soft bakery products launch to market compliance with MDLZ quality and local country regulation requirement

Main Responsibility

  1. Being a champion of consumer needs, market trends, future back product design with creativity. understand/Immerse in Chinese/Asian culture.

  2. Product Protoyping - Abilty to create Innovative cakes & pastry (priority), biscuit & bread.

  3. Able to transform Café style Baked snack into a) longer shelf life stable products - by partnering teachnologists. b) Frozen product: both frozen to fresh or frozen to ambient.

  4. Prepares detailed project plans and experimental design, for assigned projects. Ability to identify risks and contingencies.

  5. Good execution in innovaiton development process, can gather and analyze data in a logical fashion/technical rigor.

  6. Transform culinary idea/kitchen into commercial recipe and scale-up on commercial line. Develop Product Specification & technical documents. Participate in product assessment against regulations and corporate standard.

Education / Certifications:

'- Diploma and above in Bakery (Western pastry senior level above).

  • +3 years of work experience in food industry as innovation chef, or bakery shop/hotel/school as innovaitn chef.

  • Strong innovative mindet, technical expertise and problem solving;

  • Good communication skills with basic English preferred
