We are now looking to recruit a Shift Manager in a key leadership role for our UK Feedstocks manufacturing site in Marlbrook. At this site, we process over 180 million litres of milk per year and we now need a Shift Manager to look after a team.

You will be tasked to achieve all safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, and morale targets. This position is a vital link between the day to day operation of the manufacturing equipment and the wider functions to deliver the strategic aims for the site.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To ensure and sustain operation safety, product quality, and records accuracy (foundational elements).

  • Drive 1st class communication with shift team and key stakeholders.

  • Spend time on the floor monitoring compliance with operating standards, including safety and housekeeping and checking the health of critical daily management systems.

  • Lead in the daily direction-setting process, including shift hand-over meetings and DMS.

  • Acts with a sense of urgency to solve and eradicate issues to accelerate the team performance.

  • Develop capable people through their effective on-boarding, training, coaching, and process improvement. Perform regular one-to-one meetings with his/her people.

  • Develop their own knowledge of IL6S (Integrated Lean Six Sigma) and be the owner of standards on shift.

  • Complete Individual development plans for each individual on an annual basis.

  • Celebrate and reward individual and team successes.


Candidate Requirements:

  • A background Process Manufacturing, ideally Food/Dairy.

  • Proven leadership skills.

  • Lean and/or Six Sigma qualifications would be an advantage.
