You are a specialist in a process, workstream or area in Mondelēz International Digital Services, working to support impeccable service operations.

How you will contribute

You will use your in-depth process and service knowledge in your area of expertise to ensure that service level agreements and obligations are met. As a co-owner of the development of standard operating procedures, you will drive standardization and simplification of processes. In addition, you will provide input for training materials, ensure that standard operating procedures and data protection activities comply with Mondelēz International policies and the law, analyze and report on exceptions and offer recommendations for process improvements, and lead the sustainable continuous improvement process for the team.

More about this role

This job is based in Bucharest, Romania.

This role will coordinate immigration requirements for the specific dedicated markets. Sitting within the Global Mobility team, this role will ensure that the compliance tracking for foreign hires are up to date, work with third party service partners to comply with individual employee’s immigration requirements for sponsorship of work permit & residency permits.

  

What you need to know about this position:

  • Good understanding of the European Immigration landscape and its challenges

  • Deep understanding of the legal environment regarding immigration processes in Western Europe (Belgium, France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain) in relation to the following areas:

  • Legal requirements regarding hiring EU and Non-EU Nationals

  • Visa types

  • New work/residence permits

  • Prolongation of work/residence permits for non-EU Nationals

  • Any other areas touching/impacting Immigration

  • Be up to date in relation to changes in legal aspects re immigration area

  • Own the immigration compliance for foreign hires by supporting the Global Mobility Advisors in monitoring the application for work permits of international movers:

  • Track the validity of work permits and prompt the employees, line managers and Global Mobility (if applicable) of upcoming expiring dates, initiate the services of Service Providers for renewals and ensure the HRIS system is updated

  • Issue monthly dashboards, with key highlights

  • Support the Global Mobility Advisors with expert immigration knowledge in the review of complex cases. Ensure effective cooperation with our designated immigration service provider and, on regular basis, share immigration regulatory updates

  • Continuous improvement approach -recommend processes changes / newways of working to simplify and streamline processes, keeping in mind the employee’s experience

  • Participate in Global Mobility projects as required

Job specific requirements:

Deep immigration knowledge in the assigned geographical area. Knowledge of the Immigration landscape pertaining any other EU countries is a plus.

The responsibilities of this position are performed within the framework of a regional business model that is defined and managed by Mondelēz Europe GmbH, Switzerland .
