Job Description
Purpose of the role
The purpose of the role is to hire a resource to work as part of the GST compliance team as well as other engagements related to GST and Other Indirect tax laws
Main Responsibility
The person should be able to support the Indirect tax process including preparation of tax returns, processing of payment and filing. In addition, he shall prepare monthly balance sheet and P&L reconciliation for Indirect tax relevant accounts
He should be able to interact with GST auditors and GST authorities for any audits / notices
The person should support a strong controls and compliance environment within the Indirect tax team and ensure full compliance with our AER policites. He will also ensure that he complies with all Indirect tax local laws and regulations in his area of responsibility
The person has to implement efficient tax management strategies to optimize tax payments within the legal framework. He will also have to provide and interpret data from accounting records as required
He should embrace a mindset of continuous improvement and identify oppurtunities to improve ways of working in his area of responsibility
The person should contribute to a high-performing Indirect Tax team. He will also invest in his personal development and contribute to the overall development of his peers and the AER team
Career Experience
'Experience in Indirect Tax. Chartered Accountant preferred with 2+ years experience. Industry experience will be added advantage.
Stakeholder Management
External : Auditors, Lawyers, Advisors, Government officials
Internal : Indirect Tax Lead, Tax team, Finance Leads, Business teams
