We are seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer to further develop our cloud platforms at Mondelez. This role requires a highly experienced engineer proficient in designing and implementing cloud-based systems with a strong emphasis on security and infrastructure as code. The ideal candidate will bring a hands-on approach using leading technologies such as Terraform and Python and have a proven track record in developing robust solutions in a dynamic and complex space.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of cloud solutions focusing on security and scalability

  • Provide subject matter leadership for multiple cloud services, technologies, and architectural design patterns

  • Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps practices using Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and configuration tools to ensure efficient and repeatable deployment of cloud resources.

  • Collaborate with global operations teams to ensure key performance metrics are maintained while driving increasing levels of automation, resiliency, and observability

  • Stay updated with the latest in cloud technology and security trends to keep our infrastructure ahead of potential threats.

  • Hands-on involvement in the development, deployment, and troubleshooting of our cloud infrastructure.

More about this role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior engineering role.

  • Strong technical proficiency in Infrastructure as Code and at least one major programming language.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $114,500 to $171,800; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. The salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results. Company offers a variety of benefits to eligible employees, including health insurance coverage, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education-related programs, paid holidays and vacation time, and several others. Many of these benefits are subsidized or fully paid for by the company.
