We are seeking a Payroll Manager for the Nordics, forming part of our HR Shared Service function, Mondelez Business Services (MBS).

In this role, you will ensure the reliability of pay for all employees in Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden (Head Office and factories), in accordance with the company’s regulations, defining processes that are reliable and conform to the requirements of Internal Controls.

You will contribute to the improvement and effectiveness of working relationships and the information flow with the MBS Employee Services team based in Bournville, also overseeing process development projects and tools within the field of payroll.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Payroll Team, based in two different countries, by providing day to day guidance and direction and by engaging them in a business partnering culture.

  • Accountable for the payroll planning, delivery, and quality as well as managing the relationship with our payroll vendor.

  • Monitor, manage, and report Payroll KPIs.

  • Collaborate with upstream and downstream stakeholders (e.g. Workforce Administration (WFA), Finance etc.) to ensure any links to or from payroll are processed accurately and in time with appropriate cut-off.

  • Own all Nordic Payroll Processes E2E and ensure accurate delivery including all SOX and operations controls.

  • Support the business on any payroll impacting change.

  • Responsible for ensuring all social security payments and 3rd party payments are made in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for ensuring payroll is compliant with legal requirements.

  • Be the subject matter expert in terms of payroll operations and processes.

  • Lead the Payroll Audits and compliance to payroll controls.

  • Lead Payroll impacting change as well as Continuous Improvement initiatives.

  • Manage the Payroll agenda.

  • Be an active and constructive member of the MEU Payroll Team.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Broad and deep understanding of Payroll.

  • Experience working in a global organization and Shared Service organization.

  • Knowledge of local labour and/or tax law is required.

  • Team management experience is required.

  • 3rd Party Relationship management experience.

  • Fluency in English and a further Scandinavian language is required.

  • Proficiency in MS Office.

  • Knowledge of Lean 6 Sigma or other efficiency tools will be a plus.

  • Able to multi-task and manage a fluctuating workload.

  • Excellent problem solving and judgment skills.

  • High operational excellence and ability to work under pressure.
