Mondelez International Project Engineer in Oslo, Norway


We are now looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join us in our high tech chocolate plant in Oslo!

In our Plant, we produce Norway's most beloved chocolate brand Freia and we are wondering if you are up for the challenge to continue the development of our great factory and provide our consumers with first class chocolate?

In the exciting role as Project Engineer, you will have one of the main technical positions in the Plant, responsible to build expertise in the main technologies used, as well as manage and deliver projects related to investments in new and modified equipment.

The Project Engineer has a broad internal and external network with frequent contacts to functions as manufacturing, maintenance, quality, R&D, finance, and supply chain, but also to external suppliers.

The Project Engineer will belong to the Business Development & Engineering team of approx. 10 people placed in Upplands Väsby, Oslo, and Kaunas since our Plant is a part of the Nordic & Baltics manufacturing cluster.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Build and improve competence in the main technologies used in the plant, to support the organisation with technical expertise.

  • Identify, specify and deliver projects related to investments in new and modified equipment, to support new safety, quality, sustainability, and development and productivity initiatives.

  • Support the development of strategic plans for long term investment needs for the Plant.

  • Execute projects in line with internal procedures and best practices to ensure best in class delivery of projects.


Candidate Requirements:

  • University degree in Engineering or similar.

  • Several years of experience from advanced engineering work in a manufacturing environment, preferably food, pharmaceutical or other related industry.

  • Fluency in English and preferable also in one of the Nordic languages, Swedish or Norwegian.

  • Good management skills to lead resources connected to the projects.

  • The ability to communicate and influence people on different levels in our diverse organisation.
