You will support our growth and the delivery of excellent business results. You will be responsible for converting in-depth shopping and retail environment insights into category, retail and customer strategies and recommendations. Also, you will have the responsibility to ensure shopping is integrated into marketing plans and programs as well as supporting the cross-category shopper insights agenda.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Be responsible for developing consumer selling stories using the consumer segmentation framework as its data foundation

  • Provide strong guidance to stakeholders on the principles and uses of consumer segmentation to unearth actionable, growth oriented insights at a retail level

  • Curate an advantaged level of social intelligence to uncover rich cultural trends, snacking moments, brand Identify and leverage growth opportunity in retail environment for the area of geographic responsibility

  • Generate behavior changing insight and identify effective levers of engagement

  • Continuously optimize business through data, tracking, learning

  • Drives action oriented insights on innovation, communication and brand growth imperatives to shopper, customer and net revenue planning teams

What you will bring

  • Experience in using retailer / customer data, shopper insights and analytics to develop compelling retail customer plans ideally in the FMCG/CPG industry

  • High proficiency in base business tools (Excel/PowerPoint), with expertise in data modelling with data visualization tools (experience with Tableau is a must)

  • In-depth knowledge in analyzing and creating visualizations of large amounts of data

  • Experience in presenting to retailer teams, and in negotiation planning/joint business planning

  • Strong knowledge and usage of market segmentation models

  • Proven track record in persuasively influencing and aligning key customers and business stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization

  • Able to partner well with marketing, sales and external agencies

Be a part of a Customer Strategy team focused on championing category growth by developing a strong trusted partnership with our retailers and grounded in a consumer/shopper mindset.

The Customer Strategy team has an immediate need for a Customer Strategy Manager (direct Customer Advisor) reporting to the respective Customer Team Lead. The successful candidate will drive best practice category management initiatives and lead Shopper Thought leadership with their specific customer.

Role Highlights:

  • The candidate will be accountable for developing robust category strategies for their specific category / brand across the customer landscape, with an unbiased category responsible lens rooted in Category/Consumer/Shopper Insights & Analytics.

  • This position requires a deep understanding of the retailer strategies as well as the strategies of the competitive set in order to make sound recommendations.

  • Strong ability to translate external market and consumer knowledge into drivers of growth for the customer

  • Recommending assortment & shelving strategies and tactics for all items in the advisorship category.

  • A champion of driving a strong assortment to maximize category and customer’s sales and profits; leading the planogram progress with the customer to grow the category and implementing best-in-class shelving principles.

  • Provide expert category knowledge on performance, innovation, market insights, trends and consumer data. This includes the development and maintenance of best-in-class reporting insights and platforms

  • Bringing Mondelez best in class local, Regional and Global knowledge to the retailer on assigned categories.

  • Developing and implementing “best practice” category management with guidance from the team lead.

What you’ll need to succeed in the role:

Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s University Degree in a related field

  • Minimum 5+ years experience in Category Management / Category Advisor/ Customer Insights

  • Minimum 3 year customer facing role is strongly preferred

  • Account Management and Shopper Insights experience an asset

  • Analytic storytelling skills: integrating and interpreting data and insights from multiple disparate sources into a concise action-oriented recommendations and strong presentation skills to bring recommendations to life.

  • A background and understanding of the FMCG environment is critical.

  • Snacking experience (Biscuit, Confectionary, NPF/bars) an asset

  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines

Technical Capabilities:

  • Strong proficiency in Syndicated Market Research Data and Analytic tools (NielsenIQ MarketTrack & Homescan, Nielsen Connect platform, LDIA, Retail Link, IRI, Dunnhumby, Numerator)

  • Excellent Space Planning / JDA Pro Space skills

  • Advanced skills in Excel, Powerpoint & Tableau
