You will be responsible for planning, leading, organizing and controlling of warehousing to ensure efficient inventory and warehouse management and cost-effective delivery of shipment volume objectives. You will be planning, leading, organizing and controlling the plant’s Dispensary operations for raw & packaging material to provide consistent quality ingredients to production in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Be accountable for the Warehouse Operations Plan, Coordinate & Manage Receipt/ Issue/ Disposal of raw/packaging materials and finished good inventories in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Deliver Inventory accuracy objectives and ensure Operational requirements are consistently applied while complying to all boundaries & requirements on a regular basis. Provide appropriate and properly maintained Materials handling/ movement equipment and facility to ensure safe and efficient operations. Achieve AM-Autonomous maintenance and PM-Progressive maintenance Step completion goals for warehouse equipment & SGA teams to eliminate losses & downtime.

  • Lead optimum utilization of Warehouse space; conduct warehouse capacity plan review on a regular basis. Ensure storage and handling of all materials and finished goods adheres to standard palletizing, stacking and storage requirements. Manage and control the replenishment of stock at Distributor’s warehouses, analysis of inventory movements, to ensure inventory level in the supply chain is at manageable level, and no run or overstock situation and product freshness in the trade. Develop & implement overhead budgets to define cost boundaries for an efficient warehouse operation. Ensure cost targets are met via efficient utilization of equipment, workforce and utilities. Monitor and control materials wastage and variance to generate productivity savings.

  • Be accountable for strong governance & compliance requirements (warehouse audits, ISO, FSSC, Quality management system audits etc.) to be in place, Be a champion to meet and/or exceed Safety & Quality requirements and driving ownership among teams.

  • Be Accountable for Talent, Capabilities & Engagement for the team and responsible for identifying and implementing critical levers to attract, retain & develop critical talent and build capability at all levels, technical and behavioral, to build a sustainable workforce profile for the future. Interface with key stakeholders internally & externally to develop and maintain effective relationships, Align priorities in order to deliver the company objectives and goals and maintain 100% compliance to standards, policies and local legal laws.

  • Relevant work experience in warehouse and/or production operations, inventory management & handling material movement equipment.

  • Computer proficiency (MS Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & experience in ERP (SAP) systems.

  • Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written), Analytical & Problem solving skills, strong collaboration and relationship management skills. The capability to work as the Team Leader, developing and aligning goal/master plan for the team, deploying and managing IDP-Individual development plan for the members, coaching team members on their performance management and career development.

More about this role

Provide effective leadership for the efficient and cost-effective operation of the warehouse including effective management of staff, resources, shipping and receiving, inventory management and transportation scheduling.

Directly responsible for the supervision, training and development of shipping staff to ensure that work is completed safely and efficiently.

Maintain a safe working environment as top priority while communicating and addressing safety concerns in a timely manner.

Promote and enhance positive employee relations in a Union setting, communicate and engage with team to promote high levels of employee involvement, engagement and teamwork.

Maintain inventory and FIFO adherence to minimize inventory discrepancies while preventing out of stock and ensure inventory accuracy and integrity.

Daily scheduling of carriers through established carriers and channels, coordinate the daily transportation requirements to ensure compliance with outbound schedules, quality services, product quality integrity, proper claims and timely deliveries.

Ensure the effective utilization and scheduling of people, equipment and resources to optimize efficiencies including effective trailer utilization and pallet inventory.

Drive and implement efficiencies to effectively reduce, labor and overtime costs as well as shipping and transportation costs.

Enforce housekeeping standards in the warehouse to ensure compliance to quality, food safety and environmental policies.

Ensure the security of products, materials and the building including risk management and loss prevention.

Provide frequent communication, feedback and information flow to ensure customer delivery requirements are met.

What you will bring to the table:

4 years Supervisory experience related to Warehousing or Distribution operations

Post-secondary education in a related discipline considered an asset

Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory management preferably SAP systems

Strong communication, problem solving and critical thinking skills required
