As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented Power BI Data Analyst to join our dynamic team.

We are looking for a skilled Power BI Data Analyst to turn data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions. The successful candidate will develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, analyze complex datasets, and provide actionable recommendations to drive business growth and efficiency.

Create and deliver user training on tools and reports using Power BI. Assist in the daily support of end-users' ability to utilize the reporting platform effectively and efficiently. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc. Work with multiple internal departments to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs. Identify relevant data and metrics to analyze, create data visualizations and dashboards to provide insights that influence decision-making and drive business value. Create data tools for analytics and Business Intelligence team members that assist them in building and optimizing our operations into an innovative industry leader. Work with Program Management & Analytics department to strive for greater functionality in clients data systems. Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into client acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize key business metrics and trends.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI for analysis.

Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and insights that drive business decisions.

Perform data cleansing, validation, and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and reliability of reports.

Develop and implement data governance policies and best practices to maintain data integrity.

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in Power BI and data visualization techniques.

Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Enrolled in a CO-OP education program in bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.

Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or Data Analyst, with proficiency in creating interactive reports and dashboards.

Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Google BigQuery).

Expertise in data modeling and data visualization principles.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Familiarity with ETL processes and tools (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Proficient with Microsoft office tools and advance knowledge in Excel is an asset.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Relevant certifications in Power BI or related technologies are a plus.

Duration: 4 – 8 months

Location: Gladstone office, but this would be an hybrid role.
