Role Description

The Sr Key Account Manager is responsible, along with the Customer Business Team for developing a Powerful Customer Partnerships in order to deliver the customer JBP and Mondelez revenue targets. This is accomplished through; revenue planning and forecasting; leading the execution of commercial strategies; and developing and executing the customer JBP. They must work closely with the Account Planning Manager, the Account Managers, the Channel Planning Manager, and the Director Key Accounts. Additionally they work cross functionally with Supply Chain, Marketing and Finance.

Key Accountabilities, Decisions and Responsibilities

  • Customer Management:

  • Develop and drive broad customer relationships across all levels

  • Responsible and accountable to lead the cross functional team in order to support the delivery of the customer JBP and annual plans

  • Responsible and Accountable to lead the external communication and performance management through scorecarding and business reviews

  • Responsible for selling in all innovation, Scale events and category opportunities on their business. This includes communication of listing status , distribution expectations, shelf and performance

  • Prepare the annual business plan and support the development and implementation of the customer JBP

  • Revenue, Promotion and Retail Planning:

  • Accountable for the revenue plan and forecast including the key inputs into the IBP BB's

  • Accountable to oversee the trade process and to ensure a year-end balanced trade position

  • Inform the Account Planning Manager of the upcoming activity and associated revenue impact. (Owns bottom-up build)

  • Lead customer retail activation and target setting with their retail partners

  • Capabilities Development:

  • Assist the Channel Planning Manager and the Director of Key Accounts to provide on-going coaching and mentoring for the development of the Account Planning Manager

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor degree in business or equivalent

Key career experiences and development gained in this role

  • Customer management fundamentals

  • Deep understanding of MDLZ revenue planning and Customer P&L

  • Negotiation and presentation skills (insight led selling)

Experience Required

  • Minimum 2-3 retail sales experience in CPG or retail industry

  • Minimum 1-2 years internal customer support role in CPG or retail industry

  • Minimum 7-10 years experience in multiple regional and national customer facing roles

Competencies/Capabilities

  • Strong analytical skills by drawing insights and recommendations from large amounts of data

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required

  • Understanding of multiple customers GTM strategies, structure and business practices

  • Experience with the business planning cycle and thorough understanding of revenue planning and forecasting

  • Ability to lead and inspire others while clearly setting direction

  • Proven track record of delivering results
