Job Scope

The Trade Deployment & Customer Planning Manager is responsible for leading in the development of trade spend investment budgets and Customer revenue objectives in order to deliver against the annual MDLZ revenue targets. This role also leads driving trade spend optimization through rigorous data and market analysis. This individual works closely with the several cross functional individuals to deliver on these objectives and is a key contributor to the overall revenue planning processes at Mondelez.

Job Responsibilities

There are three key elements to the role:

Trade Deployment

  • Develop Customer trade spend investment strategies to maximize business results

  • Deployment of the trade spend budget, including setting annual Customer trade spend rates

  • work with Customer Business Teams (CBTs) and Finance to identify, quantify, and reconcile trade opportunities

  • Lead on various initiatives related to the optimization and efficiency of

trade spends

Customer Planning

  • Lead in the setting of the annual gross revenue targets, working cross-functionally to ensure a robust revenue plan across all elements of the business (innovation, promotion, distribution, etc)


  • Responsible for the analysis and forecasting of the impact of changes in promotional plans to the delivery of the annual plan

Internal Contacts

This role will partner closely with the Customer Business Teams, Forecasting team, Finance teams and Marketing team

External Contacts

This role will have limited external interfaces


Functional /Technical Expertise

  • Minimum 6-8 years’ experience in the Canadian CPG industry, with a strong preference for Sales Insights/Analytics or Finance experience

  • Exceptional analytical skills and proven proficiency with leveraging syndicated and POS data

  • Strong influencing and communication skills

  • Ability to think critically and strategically
