We are recruiting for a Production and Material Scheduler to join our existing team, whose primary focus is to provide the Chirk manufacturing team with clear production & material schedules in line with centrally driven demand planning. Whilst maintaining lowest effective supply chain costs and also makes sure that all components are ordered from the supplier to meet the schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the production schedule for each manufacturing resource per day and release the associated work orders to the factory.

  • Monitor conformance against the work orders and determine actions with Manufacturing and the Production Planner on a day-to-day to ensure delivery of the weekly schedule.

  • Issue material call-offs to the suppliers to schedule the correct materials on to site at the right time and quantity.

  • Work with the suppliers to manage and ensure production schedule can be delivered.

  • Work with the Production Planner and Manufacturing teams to understand and resolve day-to-day issues with the schedule.

  • Contribute to the daily & weekly operations meetings

  • Record any emergency deliveries as well as completing the relevant documentation to ensure that claims are processed effectively.

  • Ensure that invoices blocked for payment due to delivery data mismatches are cleared effectively.

  • Ensure data is maintained in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Create and communicate KPIs necessary for the business


Candidate Requirements:

  • Educated to A / AS level standard.

  • Good analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Proven Continuous Improvement mind-set.

  • Excellent communication skills, the ability to anticipate and communicate issues to enable swift resolution.

  • Resilient with the ability to work under pressure, achieve key deadlines, effective problem solving capabilities.

  • Effective influencing skills, the ability to work cross-functionally with contacts to ensure that service remains our business priority.

  • Comfortable with the use of all main IT platforms, experience of SAP is preferred

  • Experience of production and material scheduling is required

  • Supply Chain and Manufacturing knowledge or experience would also be of benefit

  • Experience in a similar fast paced environment & preferably with internal & external planning interfaces is preferred.
